If at this same time last year someone would've told me I'd be running my own podcast in a year, I frankly would've had a side-to-side eye response and no words. A podcast? About what? Why? How?
I'm a naturally curious person and that's put me on an eternal quest to understand myself and those around me. I was that kid always asking, "but why?" about literally everything happening around me. It drove my family nuts. Assuming I'm interested, I'll literally set out to learn anything. So, what do they say now? "Yeah, we always saw it. A self-starter, very independent and made s*&t happen for herself."
Since I have so many interests, I found myself straddling spaces that seem worlds apart. I’m a mother, wife, musician, finance leader, executive and entrepreneur – that’s right, I use both sides of my brain! But...this tension between what I felt society expected of me in all my roles - hyper-conservative on one end while highly creative on the other - created very real (and perceived) barriers to my freedom in those spaces.
All of these have been defining dynamics of my careers and selfhood, and part of my motivation to launch this podcast stems from my desire to weave together insights from my diverse life roles and create a space for me to be in my wholeness. What's more, watching my kids blossom into adulthood and seeing the same cycles repeated by them - the ones I thought I’d broken and the new ones I didn't realize I was actually creating - was astonishing.
Even though my podcast is deeply personal and rooted in my experiences of living a wildly multiplicitous life, I'm very aware that I'm also not alone in it. Most people have questions. The same questions and so it's pretty dang cool to be the interviewer doing what I love to do... keep asking "why" and going from there.
I uncover true life stories and encourage collective discovery from a place of inner abundance by cultivating an overflow of love and support that enriches growth and healing. The ultimate goal is to identify and achieve our Life's Purpose(s) with great balance, vigor and fulfillment.
